Bigg Boss is a popular Indian reality TV show made on the concept of US reality TV show Big Brother. This show was first broadcasted on Sony Entertainment Television in November 2006. It attracted great number of viewers as this show was a new concept of reality TV show and this concept was fairly new in India.

Highlights of Bigg Boss Season 3
Bigg Boss 3 was aired on Colors channel in 2009 in continuation with Bigg Boss. Just like Bigg Boss season 1, Bigg Boss Season 3 was a great hit among the viewers. This season saw participation from many big names and celebrities. Mr Amitabh Bachchan was Bigg Boss 3 host. For this season, the location of the house was shifted to the city of Karjat in Maharashtra.
Bigg Boss 3 was launched beautifully with a hilarious dance performance by various dancers with Amitabh Bachchan shaking a leg with them. Amitabh Bachchan, with his usual warm welcome speech inaugurated the Bigg Boss Season 3 and showed the winner’s trophy and a bag that contained 1crore prize money. Bigg Boss 3 saw a lot of drama and action as the housemates interacted with each other.

- Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was invited to the Bigg Boss house during the second week for promotion of his new film ‘Blue’.
- Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Sameera Reddy and most of cast from ‘De Dana Dan’ movie team visited the Big Boss House and spent time with the housemates. Later, Akshay Kumar took personal letters from the house to the families of housemates.
- Kamal Rashid Khan entered the Bigg Boss house again as a guest.
- Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif visited the inmates for promoting their movie Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani.
- Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Jacquiline Fernandes entered Bigg Boss house for promoting their new film ‘Aladin’.
Results:
Vindu Dara Singh was declared Bigg Boss 3 winner and was announced as a bold and stylish contestant. He was congratulated by his housemates and handed over the trophy and cash prize. He also won a Chevrolet Cruze car. Among other Bigg Boss 3 contestants, Pravesh Rana and Poonam Dhillon were declared first and second runner up respectively. |
