Bigg Boss series is a reality TV show wherein the celebrities contest among themselves to successfully stay in a single house with the tasks assigned to them for almost three months. During this time, they are not allowed to interact with the outside world. ‘Bigg Boss’ is an unknown person who keeps a vigil over the housemates and gives them instructions in the house. He/she is not physically present, but can only be recognized through the voice.

Bigg Boss series is an Indian reality TV show whose first season was broadcasted on Sony Entertainment Television in November 2006. The show was a great success with the viewers as the concept of reality TV show was relatively new in India and there were many celebrities that participated. Bigg Boss is the concept reality TV show inspired by Big Brother in the US. It pulled a good number of audiences and was greatly appreciated.

For every season of Bigg Boss series, a new house is built. Mostly, the location of the house is at the tourist spots of Lonavala which is in the district of Pune in Maharashtra. The house is equipped with all modern facilities and is well furnished. But, however it just has one or two bed rooms and four toilets and bath rooms. The house is facilitated with a small garden, a swimming pool, an activity area and a fully functional gym. The house also has a Confession Room wherein the housemates might be called by Bigg Boss for any type of conversation and for discussing the nomination procedure. In all, the house does not have a TV, phone, internet connection, pen, clocks and paper.

After the huge success of season 1, 2, 3 & 4 of Bigg Boss series, Bigg Boss season 5 is scheduled to be launched on 2nd October on Colors channel. Actor Salman Khan would be hosting the Bigg Boss Season 5 along with co-star and friend Sanjay Dutt. The host pair is all ready to rock on the show with their chemistry.
